We open on a tight shot of a Macbook keyboard, and fingers actively typing away.
VOICEOVER: I used to make fun of the people who would sit at Starbucks and clickety-clack on their computers.
We pan out and see that I’m sitting at a table in Starbucks.
VOICEOVER: Now, I’m one of them.
Or, you know.. something along those lines.
Like many others, I find it really difficult to balance everything in my life at times. I find myself pushing tasks to other days, just so that I can enjoy a movie or read a book in my downtime.
And sometimes, it’s really hard to find downtime, and I feel guilty when I’m doing something I shouldn’t be, instead of something that really needs to get done.
That being said, I’ve come up with a list of five ways to be more productive, especially if you’re a blogger.
Carrie Bradshaw is the reason I want to be a writer – columnist, specifically.
Well if we’re being completely honest, I would straight up love to be Carrie Bradshaw; a closet full of clothes and shoes, a brownstone on the Upper East Side, an amazing job as a columnist and later a freelancer for Vogue… um, yes please! Not to mention the amazing friends she has, and the hunky men she dates – Big AND Aidan?
#swoon.

Point is, Carrie and her friends have taught me valuable life lessons.

Well, the day we singles dread every year has fast approached: it’s Valentine’s Day.
I love love. I do. Being forced to tell somebody that you love them because it’s the glorified day of love.. that isn’t for me. Especially so when you’re not exactly single, but you’re not exactly dating anyone. It’s complicated.
To be perfectly honest, I hate how “Hallmark” this holiday has become.
Of course, the people that mean the most to me will get some sort of message, that’s a given. Even if it’s a funny photo with a silly message attached to it, it’s my way of telling them that they’re important to me.
But again, the “not in a relationship” part of me hates this holiday.
